    1. 4.5 rating!I am growing deeply fond to this series. In the first book I had trouble connecting with Katie. The second book I definitely did not. I just adore this storyline. It is fantastic. I couldn't put it down whatsoever today. It was well written and flowed so organically. I enjoyed the interesting twist behind the author concepts of angels and demons. Everything you have always been taught is completely flipped. I love it. I will definitely continue to read this series.

    2. My Thoughts:I am a fan of books that deal with reapers, soul collectors and dark choices, especially when they have a unique take on the realms of heaven and hell, treating them as a world.I must admit, the first book in the duo didn’t quite have me connecting with it. I found it easy to put down, and I just didn’t find that it had what I needed it to for me to really sink my teeth into it, not sure why. I did feel that the plot, the world and the main characters could have used a bit more d [...]

    3. BLOG REVIEW: chaibooks/2015/04/Dealing With Devils is the sequel to The Appeal Of Evil by Pembroke Sinclair, and this follow-up was so great. There will spoilers for the first book! This sequel was really unique. Usually when we have a protagonist caught up in a battle between good and evil, she usually chooses good. Katie chooses evil- I think that's really refreshing! In this sequel, we see Katie and the wonderful Josh go about their duties from Hell. We get to meet Lucifer, which was really c [...]

    4. We went to this book expecting it to be like its prequel "The Appeal of Evil" but ended up finding it way more gripping. The world of this series develops so much, we learn a lot more about it and, therefore, gain a better understanding of some characters (as Josh, for example). As it is we also see a lot of character development, mainly noticeable on Katy, whose personality becomes stronger throughout the book. "Dealing With Devils" shows us why she is the way she is and she, pardon my french, i [...]

    5. Hello readers! I was given an advanced reader copy of this book before it's release date in exchange for an honest review and, after reading book one, I was not rushing to get to it. I have to say, even though the characters and main plot point are the same, book two is completely different than book one and I enjoyed it a lot more. Once I got about a third of the way in, there was no going back, I was hooked. The main character, Katie, made her decision between Wes & Josh (Good & Evil) [...]

    6. I received this book in return for an honest review.Where to even startThis book is one of a kind and beautifully written. It's a shocking, edgy, gripping page turner that leaves you wanting more, I could go on and on. I could NOT put this book down!I really liked this book because it picks up exactly where the first book left off, so it doesn't leave you guessing what happened in the time between. For me, personally, this book was full of "oh snap!" and "didn't see that coming" moments. I love [...]

    7. I received this book in return for an honest review. As a sequel to the first book in this series I feel that it followed the first book rather well. It was a very good read in fact like the first book I could not put it down.I really liked that it covered some background in areas. The author definitely left me wanting more!

    8. Reviewed at: queenofteenfiction*This book was sent by the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not change or influence my opinions of the story*Dealing With Devils picks up where the story left off in The Appeal of Evil, and it’s straight away more engaging than the first book. It might be because I already knew the characters this time around and had a basic understanding of the story, but it was much easier to follow this time around.Wes is now out of Katie’s life, and she’ [...]

    9. I went into Dealing With Devils expecting it to be like the prequel, The Appeal of Evil. However, I found that I enjoyed this installment much better than the first novel. In this book we find more about the world that Sinclair has set up and it's focused more on the aspects of demons and Hell, instead of the romance, which I appreciate.Speaking of the romance, I'm confused by something. Why is every single guy in the novel that Katie meets attracted to her? There's Wes, Josh, Braden, Andrew and [...]

    10. If you haven't read the first book, you shouldn't read this review. It might contain spoilers for book 1.Rating: 3.5 of 5 stars.Dealing with Devils is book two in the series created by Pembroke Sinclair. This series is about the endless fight between good and evil. However, this book focuses in the demon side. Now that Wes is out of the picture Katie is concentrating on her relationship with Josh. Ok, they may have had a rough start but now she is focused on the good things. She is convinced tha [...]

    11. Book two does in fact heat up as Katie has took a leaning towards the dark side. Maybe she was pushed over by fear or perhaps a hungry need to understand more but either way we get a more indepth look at Hell, Lucifer, and a bigger picture of how things work in Hell.Wes isn't in this part's pretty much Josh and Katie's story. Josh shows Katie the ropes and it seems they fall deeper and deeper for each other. Josh seems more "good" in part two and although I do soften up towards him I still know [...]

    12. First, I want to say that I'm a big fan of this Author, I own the Zombie Series and I absolutely love it!Now, about Dealing With Devils, this is the second book of the serie, and I felt amazed on how dark it's the plot. In this story, we are introduced into the "bad" side of Katie, and the choices she must make. I found it very easy to read, and the story goes fast, but in a good way! I didn't have time to think, the author gave me the answers in each chapter. Regarding Josh, in this book, I fel [...]

    13. Somehow I managed to get into this without knowing it was a sequel. Not to worry, because it did okay as a standalone though I do intend to go back to the first. Thr2ee story is well written and there is good character development. Definitely a great book, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.*I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

    14. I received a copy to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed here are my own. This book has even more tension than the first book had. Katie is even more attracted to Josh. What he does, taking people's souls weighs heavily on her for a while. She feels safe around Josh, yet feels conflicted. Her best friend Deb is trying hard to save Katie from Josh. Enter bad boy Braden. He and Josh both want Katie. Braden is higher up in the demon hierarchy. The question is, what does he truly want with h [...]

    16. Katie makes the decision to stay with Josh in order to protect her mother, whom Josh has threatened. To all outward appearances, Katie and Josh are a perfectly normal couple. Behind the scenes, however, Katie has been helping Josh gather souls and she begins to find that she likes it. Her new-found liking for the "dark side" hits a speed bump when she discovers that a classmate, whose soul Josh has taken, has died. Katie's best friend, Deb, is overwrought over their classmate's death, and Katie [...]

    17. I struggled with Katie's character in book one but wanted to know how things progressed in book two and I am really glad, I did. Katie has now made a choice and the revelations in this book explain why she behaves the way she does. She is aware of what might be her true nature and she tries really hard to put everything in perspective. She is indecisive at times but more confident in other ways. Josh is proving to be very supportive despite his situation in Hell. He is prepared to make sacrifice [...]

    18. Katie has fallen for Josh and has left Wes behind. Josh has Katie help him deliver souls and she finds she really likes it. That dark spot on her soul that Josh and Wes could see is starting to find its place in the story. Now Katie has to learn how to fight back against those that want her soul. Plus she believes that she can still help Josh. This book takes the typical second book in a series problems and blows them out of the water. You will learn a lot more about Katie and what is going on. I [...]

    19. Aww a tale to Hell and a demon, who? Katie Katie Katie. No I felt Deb needed a more generous role here. Is it off or is it on? I mean Josh and Katie. This story had the gusto and the excitement one can assume to have in this particular genre. The story moved along at a good pace, got to confess though I cheated and skim over some parts because I wanted to reach my destination and I did. The author got me anxious and on the verge of pulling my hair, sogood. Irritated me and I mean Josh, hell a d [...]

    20. ** A free copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review. **I was not a fan of this book. Up until the very last line of the story I was rating it a generous 2 stars. One line elevated this from a "eh was okay" to "I liked it". One line. Now that isn't to say the plot is lacking. I just personally found the female lead to be a bit spoiled and unrelenting in her whining. However the book serves its purpose as a bridge from Book One to Book Three and that's what's really important [...]

    21. I have not read book one in this series. I think this book has a good story line. I enjoy books about reapers, soul collectors and dark choices. In my opinion, this book has a unique take on the realms of heaven and hell. I enjoyed reading and following along with the characters in this book. I think the next book in the series will be good as well. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

    22. Again Pembroke delivers in this sequel to The Appeal of Evil. Katie has made her choice and is now dealing with her new life. Now Braden Yet another new comer wants her for his own. Katie doing everything she can to get rid of Braden makes things more complicated. Who pays the price her or Josh? Is Wes out of the picture after the last fight Katie and he had? Only time will tell.
